Overview
For their 100th year anniversary in 2022—along with the finished construction of their new luxury resort addition—the Urbana Country Club hired me to refresh their visual identity. The goal for the refresh was to better encompass all the luxury and elegance the Club now exudes with the addition of lavish amenities far beyond a typical country club. In coordination with the Club’s Owner and General Manager, I developed an evolution to the Club’s previous logo, including an expanded color palette and standard typefaces to be used on collateral. Encircling the traditional “UCC” logotype is an extravagant halo inspired by the face of the clock tower that sits at the entrance of the golf course. Oak leaves wreath the edges and a single crystal decorates the bottom, a hint at the luxurious elements members would find at the Spa and Resort. Application of the new visual identity had to be flexible and versatile to accommodate everything that the Club does for its members—everything from golf promotions, to pool and resort signage, to event flyers and social media posts, to traditional stationary.
